Features/Screenshots II

You can type individualized Notes relating to each exam category. Notes are accessible from the Main Menu and fron the Exam Detail Screens for each practice category. Notes show as one long scroll for each category. When selected, the latest note (at the bottom of the scroll) is initially shown; you can then scroll upward to see previous entries for that practice category. A convenient Insert Time/Date button allows you to timestamp your entries.

The Configuration tab allows you to set various options in the application. For BMI to be calculated, you must enter your Height one time. To use the Passcode feature, you must turn it on and set your Passcode. Once the Passcode is set, you can turn the feature on and off as desired, the Passcode will remain until changed again. A Rapid Save feature is available to move from one lab entry screen to the next with a single touch.

This feature is convenient for entering a series of lab results that you might receive at the same time. Finally, you can change the Other Tracker and Other Exam names from the Configuration tab to display your own names e.g., if you wanted to keep track of your Cardiology appointments, you could change Other Exam I to Cardiology, or if you were tracking lab results for Creatinine, you could change Other Tracker I to Creatinine.

Diabetes Goal Tracker has drop-down Context-Sensitive Help on many entry screens to guide you through the application. Where available, the 'Touch Here to Show Help' banner is directly below the Navigation Bar at the top of the screen.

Entry is performed throughout the application with the keyboard or with picker wheels. Pickers are used when the entry format is more defined and the keyboard is used for more free-form entry.

The same screen is used to enter data pairs i.e., a lab value and the date the lab was taken. The upper part of the screen shows a value in black that the current picker changes. If the value in gray is touched, the picker changes to the format of that field. In the screen to the left, the Date field is active and the A1C field is not. The picker is formatted for Date entry. If the value in gray is touched, then as shown on the right, the picker changes to accomodate entry of a 2-digit plus 1 decimal position number. Pressing Save saves both the date and the value, in this case an A1C level of 8.5 on the date September 6, 2010.
